Chelsea Bennett

Founder | Chief Executive Officer

Chelsea Bennett is a respected communications strategist and first-generation entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience helping organizations build strong, credible brands and navigate complex public environments. She is the Founder and CEO of Ivey Palmer PR, a strategic communications firm specializing in brand development, media relations, and community engagement, with deep expertise in crisis and issues management.

Chelsea’s background in government communications has shaped her ability to lead with clarity, judgment, and results. She previously served as Deputy Director of Communications for Richland County, where she spearheaded the successful renewal of the $1 billion Transportation Penny Program, and as the first Public Information Officer for the City of Columbia Attorney’s Office, managing communications for high-profile criminal and civil matters.

Today, Chelsea leads a team at Ivey Palmer PR that partners with organizations across public health, education, nonprofit, hospitality, corporate and small business sectors to strengthen brand visibility, manage media relations, and build lasting community trust.

She serves on the Board of Directors for Literacy SC and as the Midlands Regional Director for the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Chelsea holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication and Public Relations from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Limestone University.
